When installing a Predator tune, why are you supposed to pull some fuses? Not an issue, just curious.

To temporarily disable the OnStar so that it doesn't screw up the downloading of the tune.

Interesting. So, if I don't have OnStar, do I still need to pull the fuses?

I don't have onstar and have programmed twice and modified once without pulling any fuses.

smujd,

I would still do it the GM trucks are known for voltage issues when programming and it can really cause you a PITA is something goes wrong. It's also a real good idea to turn off any cell chargers, CB's radar detectors etc etc.

I agree with Mark, I pull fuses and still have issues, and trust me when you have issues it's no fun (like not being able to drive your truck at ALL).

The biggest issue is getting Diablo to call or email me back. John even sent them an email yesterday about my issues and I still have not heard from them :wtf: .

I am way beyond satisfied with John Kennedy's customer service, but I'm very dissatisfied with Diablo's. When I get them to talk to me they have been great (to their credit), but it feels as though I have to chase them to get answers (and this was from day 1). I'm almost to the point of tossing their programmer out the window and buying the Superchips programmer...

Sorry for the rant.

I'm not saying that, not pulling the fuses is a good idea...but, I have never pulled my fuses 2 + years now and NO Onstar.
