Do I have to replace the whole motor assembly or can I just buy a cable?
Anyone know a TSB # or extended warranty for this as it seems to happen a lot to the pre 2003 trucks.
Cheap source for the motor asembly?:help:

GM has released the regulators (cable and track assembly) separate from the motors, still not cheap. No warranty, recalls, etc., even though so many have broken relatively early in the trucks' life.

I recently had mine replaced under GMPP Major Guard warranty and I think it was around $300 total.

I did my drivers side. It wasnt a hard job. The parts came seperate but priced together was less than 150.00??? it took me less than an hr all you need is normal hand tools, and some silicon adhesive to reattach the plastic liner on the door. Ill take a look I kept my old motor etc...If the cable can be detathched I will give it to ya.
Im busy as a MOFO right now but Pm me and i can try to mail it to ya asap

Thanks for the help guys. Sounds like another part the accountants at GM worked on rather than the engineers.
