we have a '99 caddy that has a left foot rest as a stock component...


i really like it and wish i had one in my truck...does anyone know of any aftermarket foot rests?...i'd be surprised if long-haul truckers didn't use them...the parts guy at the $tealer where i have my jimmy serivced looked at me like he thot i was crazy when i asked him about it...</TD></TR>

I spent quite a while looking for one. You can search for dead pedal. I never found one that was not just a plate of some kind. I ended up making a block that I screwed to the floor mat to keep in place and put a plate on top of that. Crude, but effective. If you find a better option, please let me know as it has been over 2 years since I went through the process.

It might be worth a shot. Remember there is an eletronics interface box down there and you have to allow for parking brake travel. I thought about using one of the small post type phone mounts, but never got around to trying it.

I just rest my foot on the hood lever.
