Quick question....is the Duramax only avail in the HD? What will the differences be?

Yes, at least in 2004, Duramax is only available in 2500HD or 3500 trucks.

What Stone said applies to all yrs 01-present. If you want the Duramax you have to go HD or 3500. The diesel enigne is too heavy for regular 3/4 ton setup. Some differences are stiffer springs on HD, skidplates, i think the acutal frame is thicker as well.
