My dealer says my allison thru a code and he needs to install a "spring Kit???" for the 4th gear draindown.


Sounds ok to me, however, is there anything else that he could do while he is in there that has been a problem in other allisons????

The kit is for a converter drainback issue that will not allow the trans to go into gear when started after sitting for 5 or more days. If this is not what happened to your truck the kit probably won't help.

Trying to look down the road. Easier to do while it is open than later, and more expensive.
