My truck was like stuck in positive track?!?!?! When i turn on a gravel or blacktop road at full turn my inside tire was making up the distance that the outside tire moved by spinning very slightly... I took the inspection cover off and 4 big chunks of metal lay in the bottom... My first though OMG, SON OF A *****, and a few more fowl words but anyways i jus guess predator + 40's + powerbrakeing is not good. Well i guess u play your gonna pay. The chucks i think came from the gear on the drivers side that sits about half an inch from the big spider gear that the drivers side axle runs on??? Any ideas? i will get pics of the chunks if it helps. but truck seems ok, but my buddy has a spare 3rd member! He said i could have it, it only has 500 miles on it. Now for the big ? on my 3rd member can i jus pull the axles and unbolt the 4 big bolts that hold the 3rd member in place and replace it with his, or is it a tougher task than that?? thanks never done this before. Oh and to those who read this, i used to think this rear end was invincible, guess not. lol
