New to the forum,

Had a Tundra and a couple F150's in the past but fell in love with a 2500HD on 6" Procomp a couple years ago and have been contemplating a diesel since then. Also, I drive 30-45K miles a year, lots of towing and several road trips along the way.

My biggest question(s):

I really miss the ride of my lifted Tundra and I'm just not happy with my 05 F150, stock except for the flowmaster I put on 9 months ago. Where is the best place to look for a used 2500 and how much should I expect to pay?

What should I know before I get my first diesel after driving gas for so long? Will it really make a big difference in maintenance/fuel economy/etc if I buy something used (40-50K miles) that has already been fit with mods over my stock F150?
