:help2: I have an '01 Chevy 2500HD. My Duramax has been doing me good....untill the warranty expired. I took it in for a fuel leak (suspecting injectors or fuel rail), turns out I was 2 months over 5 year Duramax warranty and 4011 miles out of extended GMPP warranty. Long story short, I had to $1882.51 to get 1 (one)....yes 1 injector put in my truck!!! Now, 1401 miles later I am making oil again. I have 65011 miles on my '01 Chevy. I found a site that says GM extended the warranty on the injectors for 7 years and 200,000 miles...SPECIAL POLICY#04039. Has any one else had any luck with this issue? I love my truck, I have been a Chevy guy forever, but dealing with the GMC Dealer in Fairbanks, Alaska and GM Corporate is enough to make a guy turn. I really hope some of you can help me out with some useful info with this issue. And if you want to hear a GOOD story about Fairbanks GMC dealer I'll be glad to tell you...watch yer a$$!!!

I hope you kept your reciepts, 'cause you deserve a refund...check out this post (http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1147121&postcount=9). Print that off, and shove it in your dealer's face...don't feel bad, my dealer did the exact same thing, until I was fortunate enough to find this forum...

You have the info now the dealer has to honor it. Go the the general manager first after seeing the service manager. If no action call the GM 800 number.
The problem with the post linked above is that there is no mileage indicated except in the referenced memo for 01-02.
Some are believing it covers 03-04 and I am unable to find a reference to them being covered by the 200,000 mile policy. I sure hope I can get my 03 covered tomorrow. This will be the 4th set of injectors. GM paid for all of them so far. I have 186K miles on it.

Thanks for all the help. Unfortunatley, this was a DEALER problem. I took the truck back for the same problem...diesel in the crankcase. The service manager assured me that the injectors would be replaced. A week later, I picked my truck up...NO INJECTORS!!! They put a MASS AIR FLOW sensor in, told me that cured the problem. I told them that was BS. They didn't have sense enough to change my diesel contaminated oil (for the second time). I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I drove my pick up about 310 miles before it started puking oil/diesel AGAIN. I took my truck to Cheverolet of Wasilla (Lithia). They got me right in on Saturday and had 8 injectors in my truck by Tuesday morning. That's service. They had no problems with the special warranty, the "Canadian" truck, and the fact that was the first time I had been in there dealership. They have a new customer. Aurora GMC in Fairbanks still denies any wrong doing on their part. I am now dealing with GM directly for reimbursement. THey have lost alot more the me as a customer because of this. And I will continue to inform people of their ways of doing business. Again THANKS for all the help.
