Only if you are pulling over 75% of the truck's weight rating..........JB.Edited by: 4500/LLY

I find that when pulling an empty trailer (2k), tow/haul is annoying. Around 4k+ lbs it smooths out and is less annoying. But I will throw it in tow/haul when going down steep grades because I think it's cool. It also reduces brake usage dramatically.
Keep in mind, in normal mode, the allison will lock only in 5th. In tow/haul, it will lock 2-5. If your tranny temps are going up, throw it in tow/haul to reduce slippage and heat.
just my opinion,

The Allison is always locked in 4th and 5th in both modes. Later! Frank
