Any code that is in the 700's is a tranny code. Better start saving for that tranny..................5th gear incorrect gear ratiohttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif, can you say slippage http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

Incorrect ratio means the RPM was too high as compared to the preset parameters. Means it slipped like a bitch. Incorrect ratio is always a slip. Welcome to my world.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

I wouldn't worry..........http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif, I have set that code at least 2 dozen times........and a few others as well.........http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif.

Heck ........ with only 33K on the clock my tranny will still hold 5th gear...........STOCK........with a HOT OJ set on level 2 / 75HP it will hold 5th.......barely............

So RUMAXED.........you might not be in my boat yet..but are traveling the same path..........

Start saving for a tranny.....ya gonna need one.

Mike .......prices have come down........if you can do the labor yourself it's not a bad $$$$$ upgrade.

I am almost ready to get off the fence and pull mine........just waiting for some free time, I can't free the truck up to pull it apart.

Mike,

Thanks for the offer....I will take you up on it when the time comes.

Looks like mid to late July is when it will happen.

Suncoast Level III------->>> I believe will do the job with the Triple Disk.

Mac knows a few things about the Allisons http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif,........so I figure it will be no problem.

I have a vise-grip, a very large hammer and a cutting torch......http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Will I need any other special tools ?????? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif
