Hi All,

I just drove home with my very first Ford Powerstroke today. Picked up an F-350 4x4 Long Bed XLT. Talked the dealer down almost $10k and walked out for $35k out the door. I was pretty proud of the price. The sticker without any added dealer mark-up was right at $44k. I passed on all of the extra options sealants etc, so they never really had much opportunity to get any more $$$$ out of me. I am getting the leveler kit installed next week (basically adding a leaf up front) and will probably throw on a set of 315 75 16 Goodyear MT/Rs I've only put about 20 miles on it today and so far I love it. I'll take a couple of digital pics once I get the new tires. Glad to be here..looks like an informative forum.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Hey norcuron!

Very nice truck!! Do you have the '03 or the '04 motor? An easy way to tell is on the driver's side valve cover, close to the firewall will be a white sticker with the eng. build date, OR, if it's an '04, there will be a blue & white (49 state),or a red & white(Calif.) sticker on the passenger side valve cover, should say 2004 on it.

Whatever you have, do not let them flash it!!! If you have no problems, leave it that way!! If your dealer says "we have a new upgrade for your truck" say "NO THANKS"!!!

Enjoy your truck!

Hi,

First, is is the blue and white 2004 Powerstroke. I am almost to 6k miles on it. I actually got just over 16mpg on one tank over a pretty big mountain range. Second, the leveling kit is an extra set of leaf springs in the front and a bracket. DO NOT do the leveling kit without the bracket. I was shown 3 broekn axle tubes at the Ford dealer from people who had put on only the leaf springs. It is not covered under warrnaty if you don't put the bracket on.

So far I love the truck. I put in a nice stereo and just put in a 15.2" DVD system in it.
