I just purchased some cheap H2 rims so now I
need some tires.

I want to run 285/70 (or 75) 17s. There don't
appear to be any (that I have found) in a plain
blackwall version - they (Goodyear & BFG) have
the raised white letters. I would rather not
have them mounted inverted w/letters on the
inside...

SO - can anyone recommend a plain 285 A/T type
truck tire that'll fit on the H2 17" rims?

Thanks!

Are you sure about the Terra Grappler?
According the Nitto website
http://www.nittotire.com/tires_terragrappler.asp
the only 17" version they have is a P265/70-R17 113S

I haven't checked the Toyo's yet...

Thanks!

If the white on the inside is a problem take a power sander and knock it off.

Some tire black may cover it too, might not last real long but always recoat.

I've run cars in the past with whites in. The insides of the tires turn black/brown anyway after time, and I never noticed it. Although I do agree that it stinks you can't get a decent blackwall...
