Well.............I gotta say I really luv em. I just put those wheels with Michelin 285/75r16 LTX on my truck last week. I've gotten so many compliments, I can't believe it. But, the 295's really give yours a great stance. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif

Thanks guys, I really like it also.

DmaxAttack, I was supposed to get the 285's as well. My local dealer said his supplier told him they recommend 295 's. Sounded wierd to me, but he charged me the same price. If you dont mind me asking, what did you pay for yours. My dealer said he was giving me a good deal. I was out the door for $1888. Sounded pretty good to me.

4DAMAX, I cranked up the torsion bars 6 turns, trimmed the front plastic valance and zip-tied the plastic fender skirt and E-brake cable back.

Thank you HD Guy.

Rippem, they are 16x8. I am not sure of the offset. I originally ordered 16x10 and the offset on those was 4.5", these were a last minute dceision. I started thinking that the 16x10's wold stick out way past the front fender flares. I couldnt be happier with the way they look. Glad I went with the 8" rim. Even the wife keeps commenting on how good it looks. Now she wants wheels for her car... It never ends !!

jjs3788..............mine were in that neighborhood for cost. Did you have to realign your front end by turning the t bars up 6 turns? When I turned mine up 4 it pulled to the left a little. So, I aligned it and when I did the caster and camber on the left wheel was off, as well as, the total toe. After the alignment it rode great again. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif

I had them turned up 4 turns prior to getting the tires installed and had no alignment problems that I could tell. I only had them turned up for about a week prior to getting the new tires and wheels. I got the new tires installed friday and noticed I had some rubbing issues, so I went up two more turns yesterday. It still seems fine, I cant feel it pull either direction. Just for piece of mind I am gonna get it checked this week, just in case. I am interested to see how much worse my fuel milage is now. I was getting about 165 miles when the gauge got down to 3/4. Its just about there now and I am only at 125-130 miles. Oh well, it looks good and that all that matters. At least diesel is 25-30 cents cheaper than regular unleaded around here.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

You're going to have to recalibrate your speedo. Your mileage hasn't decreased, the distance it takes to go a mile is now less with the larger tires, so you think you've traveled farther than you really have. I think I figured mine out to 7.75% incorrect. I just bought a Hypertech programmer III and reflashed my computer for the larger tires, everything is normal again. Well...........except for the extra 90hp I threw in there with the power programer, man this big ole' truck rocks now.

DmaxAttack, you are right. I forgot all about that. I had my gps with me and noticed the speedo was off by about 5 mph and forgot to take into account the milage.

03BlueHD, I do love the look without the door trim. I had it off on my 01, but the people who dont watch what they are doing at my work kept giving me door dings. Really pissed me off. I think I am gonna replace mine with the GMC trim tis time. I think it looks nicer and it will give me a little protection from the idiots I work with.
