Alright so i was parked in a field, there were some small ruts(3-6" deep) from last fall.went to leave, start up,I could swear i put it in R, start to move and truck lurches few times, as i looked at the shifter it was just dropping into neutral.... I was like WTF???At first i thought it was just truck bouncing over the ruts.i was only going idle speed.. Is it possible that i somehow got inbetween R & N??? After i got on smooth level ground i tried to do it, but could see no way how, truck seems to drive and shift perferectly fine the 7mile ride home, going on a 100mile roundtrip in a min so will see......
Truck is just shy of 25k, not sure of last maintence on the allison, as i just bought the truck and only put on bout 750 miles....I asked dealer to do full service before they delieved it...
Any insight???-Adam

I've done that a few times before with my 1500 so I am sure that you just didn't quite have it to where it clicked into reverse..

Wheeled into the dealer this morning, and the president(what his biz card says)/my salesperson/owner of dealer was out at the service desk, and was more than happy to run a scan, or code check and everything checked out. No codes anywhere....So i guess maybe it was just a fluke??? We got to talking about that NSBU thingie, and he said if that goes, there will be no mistaking it. So, i guess til then ill just continue to enjoy myself....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif
Hey nar how do you like the JD? What do you pull behind it? I bet a nice JD 16 row no-till planter would look perfect.....Edited by: Polarbear
