I have had a vibration for some time now and the truck has been at GM dealer for several days. Prior to taking it in I have had driveshaft balanced, tires and rims removed/replaced, rear rotors replaced the list goes on. Vibration is still there between 60-80km/hr. GM dealer phoned today and said they changed pinion angle and put on stock tires and rims and vibration is gone . They put my tires and wheels back on and bump bump. Rotating tires didn't help before so are all my rims or tires hooped?? New BFG's and older AR rims?? I quess what I am asking is should I make a deal on new rims provided the vibration dissappears or do I play with the tires?? What do you think??

Try something like that first. Most wheels end up not quite straight, unless you get the really good forged wheels. Sometimes that can be impossible to balance out. I have one wheel that vibrate quite a bit, we stacked weights until we couldn't get any more on there and it still wasn't right. The big stack of weights was too big and the brake scraped them off anyway.. :D I plan to get some of those dynabeads and see if it works out. Lots of guys with big mud tires run those becuse those big tires are so hard to balance.
