That's easy to answer; EPA New diesel emission requirements that were effective 01-01-04 required the new engines not only from GM, but F**d and Dodge as well. Dmax Tim 05-23-2004, 07:08 AM Well Bernie, don't keep us in the dark, what is the psi in each gear. The dyno runs are locked in 4th gear (higher hp gear). It could be the variable vanes moving since this was an accel dyno. Kennedy will have a good load test ##. Some pretty cool stuff there, I guess I should say interesting. gator 05-23-2004, 10:30 PM i find it interesting that that LLY which makes 590 ft lbs of tq (a gain of about 70 ft lbs right?) makes barely more than an LB7 stock. our stock LB7 make 425-430 rwtq on a dynojet. in 4th gear where you are supposed to dyno, the low boost in 1/5 gear shouldnt matter right? this seems very disappointing to me.
