Kinda new to Diesels and I see a lot of members list "High Idle Kit" as an add on. I'm sure there is more to it than the name implies, so what are the benefits, how easy to install, and cost?
thx

Kennedy Diesel has the instructions posted on his website. Click Here (http://www.kennedydiesel.com/docs/HIGH%20IDLE%20INSTALL%20FINAL.htm) Also dmaxalliTech has the kit for sale on his website Click Here (http://www.gmdieseltech.com/store2/cart.php?target=product&action=view&product_id=161 37&category_id=248) In the winter time were it is cold the Duramax will not warm up at the preset idle. The 2004 1/2 LLY equipped trucks come with the high idle.

Ok, well I live in Phoenix where daytime highs in the winter can easily be in the 60's and the low in the 40's. Is this something that would benefit me, or just a waste of cash? Dmaxallitech's kit seems alot simpler than the one on Kennedy's site, one no switch the other with, whats the differance? Edited by: turbotug
