Congratulations skibum!!!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif I picked mine up last Fri. and could not be more pleased. So far I have not found problem #1! Came exactly as I ordered it. Salesman kept me informed, Howard did his thing for me, just been a great experience.
Hope you have as much fun as I have been!

We had a great time with the truck this weekend. We skipped farm work on Saturday and just drovehttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif.
Only thing is, I think I know why it took so long to come down from the train. The passenger front fender has been re shot with clear coat. Somebody must have scratched it in transport.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif My father in law paints and he is the one who noticed it. Upon further investigation he found all the tell-tell signs of them repairing that fender. Positive, he said the did a good job.
Congrats on finally getting your truck...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
I feel you pain on the damage part. Mine had been dinged on the railcar when it showed up at the dealer. I think the only reason I found out about it, was the salesman called me when the transporter pulled up at the dealership and before anyone there knew about the damage.
That's what precipitated my first confrontation with the SM. I'd already paid for it, and knowing something about body work and paint, I thought it only right I should be able to determine who and how it was fixed. He thought otherwise...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif
I was forced to have a very serious discussion with the General Manager in order to get it fixed the way I wanted it done.
Usually, any transportation damage is handled at the dealership. So I would suspect that your dealer is the one who fixed it if that's where the damage occurred. Maybe some of the folks who work around the assembly plants can tell you, but I don't think the factory does body work if one is damaged before shipping.
It's up to you, but you might inquire of your dealer about the specifics and see what kind of response you get. It might be indicative of your future relationship with them.
In the mean time, enjoy it...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif
