The air box on my LLY appears to be the same as the air box on my old LB7 does any body know for sure? I am looking for one to cut up and try on my LLY if anyone has one laying around.

I know the AMSOIL air filter I had in my 03 now fits in my LLY.

Looks to be the same. My K and N from my 02 fit just fine and then i did the air box mod. BUT , the stage 2 kits are different because of the intake area on the motor !

The airbox is actually a bit different. If you look on the end of it towards the passenger side, the end of the box is wide open, I really dont see the reason to add an aftermarket air intake for that reason.

I changed over to my old amsoil filter the day I took delivery so I know they are close to being the same. I may try to find a spare box, chop it up and make my own cold air intake. I just can't see spending $245(give or take a few $$) for an AFE stage 1 kit that doesn't even include the pro-guard filter. Per AFE the pro-guard filter will only be available as an option with the stage 2, otherwise if buying a stage 1 it must be purchased seperately.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif

They all take the same filter, but the LLY airbox is open on the passenger side.
