I have a GM Accessory hard folding cover I bought back in '99 for my first Silverado. Moving it onto the D/A, I noticed the aluminum latch that locks the rear section into a bracket mounted on the tailgate is kaput. I talked to the parts counter at the dealership, and they can only obtain the entire lock assembly, which is about eighty bucks. All I need is the aluminum latch. Anyone have any suggestions, or one laying around? It's been hammered and welded a few times, so repairing the existing latch isn't an option.
