At the top of 4th gear the truck just "lays down". About 2900-3000 RPM it just stays stuck with no power and wont shift to the next gear. I let off the gas and it shifts and then runs normal again. Yesterday I floored it going 65 to pass and it downshifted and took off. At around 72-3 it just stopped accelerating. Then it surged hard shifted and took off blowing smke and hauling ***. I put a diablo predator on it Friday set at 85hp anf changed the fuel filter and put some power service fuel treatment in it. It runs faster than stock but is not fueling like it should. I changed the filter, wix brand, again on sunday morning and it was still running the same.
Before the chip it was doing the same thing towing a 7500lb load on flat ground wit a 15 mph headwind. I would run up to redline in 4th and have to let off so it would shift then get on it again to continue to accelerate.
Any ideas?

None as of Sunday evening. How would I go about doing that?

I believe your Predator will let you look at data while the engine is running.
Look at commanded/actual rail pressure.
Your trans might just need to "learn" the new tune. When you put a new tune on your truck, some say you need to drive about 30 miles of stop and go driving to get you tranny used to it. Just an idea.

it was doing the same thing before the chip, just less pronounced.

Look at commanded/actual rail pressure.
At full throttle in 3rd gear at 2750 its 73 actual and 158 commanded.
The filter got changed again, any ideas?

It's possible you need a fuel pressure regulator or CP3 pump.
73 is WAY low.

It is also throwing P1094 and 1093 codes. I cleaned the MAF and am gonna go drive it and see what it does. Are either of those things big bucks.

BAD NEWS!!!
I feel like I'm driving a ford. Black stuff was all over my PS fender today after a long trip. The truck never overheated or showed any signs of a problem. It was coming out of the coolant resivoir. I removed the chip and put a new factory air filter in to replace the K and N. I have a 100k powertrail warranty tho. The truck is still running and sounding the same. Any idea how many key cycles before its safe to take to the dealer? I dont want any problems.
Still throwing the same 2 codes.
:help:
I thought only the ford crap puked -:t
I am assuming its the headgaskets, am I right??

It ended up being 3 bad injectors filling the crankcase with fuel. Then a fuel/oil mixture was blowing out the dipstick so It looked like it was puking. It also had some bad sensors and a bad fuel pressure regulator.
Its getting fixed under warranty and had been in the shop for 3 weeks Censored
Just thought I'd update.
Also, will this cause any long term negative effects on the motor?
