2004 GMC 2500 D/A Crewcab, short bed, 4x4
I bought my truck used and I have transferred my prodigy brake controller from my p.o.s. dodge, I bought the adapter wiring harness and can use trailer brakes.
I just would like to confirm the red plastic plug in the fuse block under the hood is where I place this fuse. Will a 40 amp be too much or should I use a 30 amp. The trailer has a 30 amp plug. Also, in the manual it says not to place the fuse if you have a two batteries. This is my first of many diesels. I know it has two batteries but is it dual batteries or one battery with an auxillary.
I have done some research and reading of the owner's manual about the battery feed for the 7 way connector. My dodge (which was a hemi/lemi and was bought back by the manufactuer), had the battery feed wire already connected from the factory.
Thanks for all of your help in advance.
