A question for all- Austin TX is claiming to be bio- town with over 20 stations carring bio. My friend with an 02' claims to be careful because we are finding bio to rot out fuel lines in the Duramax. I was under the impression Bio is great for our trucks. All opinions welcome.

Thanks-

I got over 8,000 miles on B100 and have had no ill affects. anything 97 and newer should be fine as far as the fuel lines go.

I don't know that there's really any magic year, but certainly by the early to mid-90's fuel lines should be resistant. The only caveat to that is if the bio had residual methanol in it, which could be awful hard on lines. Spec fuel should be good to go.
