Hey Guys,
I have had an oil pressure problem as of late. It would start, idle, and run at 40 lbs for five minutes then fall down and run 25~30 depending on engine speed. Let it sit and idle a few minutes, back up to 40 for a few seconds then back down. This truck has always run at 40 lbs except when towing heavy loads in the Texas heat, then she would run at 35. I figured that the bypass was out in the pump, but wanted to change the ops first (never been changed). New ops installed, starts and idles at 60. With a hot engine it never idled less than 35 today and run 45~50 all day long. The new pump will have to wait....
