I've read that many dealers don't care if you use juice, which is true, but what about if a GM rep sees it and there is warrentee problems that could be a result of juice? If you remove the juice before hand what about the exhaust probe? Do you leave in the exhaust? If so what do you tell them if they ask about it? Do they make a gauge the you could hook up quick to the probe wires to make it look like your just monitoring the exhaust temp if they ask? I want to be prepared.

Tell em you are in the middle of installing a guage but havent gotten around to geting the pod painted to match or something if they ask. They gota prove what you do is doing it and even having the edges probe in there they would have to prove that you had the module on your truck and that the module did the damage.

How hard would it be to remove the probe and put in a pipe plug?

Tell them that GM put full gauges in including a tranny temp gauge....so why not an EGT and Boost gauge as well ???????

Since when was it a warranty problem or a red flag to monitor a few extra engine fuctions like EGT and Boost Pressure ??????

If they are still not satisfied tell them to show you in writing in the warranty boooklet that adding an exhaust probe and a plastic vacuum line will adversely effect your engines performance in any way simply by monitoring those things.

I will bet the Service Manager will have not a lot more to say about it.

I for one have never been questioned and I bring mine in for oil changes with full gauges......Banks 4" exhaust and AFE Stage II intake.

That may not be a good idea. What if the prolem is turbo related? Then they have you by the nuts. All they would have to say is the shavings caused the problem.

I think it would be better to install an extra set of gages. Then if it`s turbo related, tell them the probe has been in for months, or what ever.

Just do not give information away for free! Act like you are a gay in the Militaryhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif Don`t ask, don`t tell! And always have a backup plan. If they prove it doesn`t fit the criteria for warranty work, be prepared to spend some money.
