:banghead: :chevy: I ve been looking at these forums for a week trying to figure what to get for the big red machine. I have been trying to figure out how to get a little more power out of the engine without destroying the transmission.

I have read and received a lot of good advice, but unfortunately a lot of it has been contradictory. So I am still really confused.... :Insane:

I want a little more oomph without killing the tranny or my pocketbook.

I do not race or tow....I just want some more pep. :thankyou2

Bullydog, Hypertech, Edge EZ, Edge Juice/no attitude, Superchips, Predator. Keep it on the lower settings (under 65hp or so) and you wont hurt the tranny and youll have more pep.

Edge has transmission protection and will be good for what you are wanting. Also if you want to install gauges to monitor the EGT's and Boost then go with a programmer such as the Bully dog.. You will be happy with either of them.

van aaken smartbox is like an edge without the attitude for gauges you can one just about anywhere. look for a used one, don't pay high prices for new. check out the for sale section and ebay

I wouldnt suggest a Bully Dog Triple Dog, tranny killer, unless your tranny can handle the power. But i had a Dyno Dominator and it worked great, with tranny slip protection. Got rid of it because I didnt want to stack them on a stock tranny. -Chase
