How did you poke the hole? What kind of fittings are those?

drilled 1/2" hole, valve stem for a wheel, took out the schrader valve for free flow...boost gauge kit came with the rest of the fittings....very easy. Put a rag in the tube before you drill and don't forget to take it out afterwards along with the shavings....http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif

my only suggestion might be to install it post-intercooler so you see te boost going to the engine..

Ah, took the tube loose. Man, do this and a temp probe all in the same session and I'll break the pucker meterhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif

I think thats why I only see 22 max psi on my truck because I have the tube mounted to the aluminum intake just after the intercooler tubing.

I thought about that, but wanted a clean install with less hose. I will get the Attitude when it comes out, and won't that show actual boost going to the motor?

Is this boost thread going to go like and EGT thread with pre turbo vs. post turbo.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

the attitude will show boost from the OEM sensor which is post-intercooler.. however the sensor has a low max value. if you are running stock power that won't matter. step up the boost and reading will be inaccurate. for example, i run 32psi post-intercooler and my stock sensor won't show it as its out of its range.

How does this relate to pre-intercooler numbers? Do you know your pre-intercooler psi?

i moved my boost gauge from the actuator line to the after the intercooler so i don't know exactly. the actuator line fluctuated more and would always read higher. i'd guess maybe 2psi
