Which companies make quality A-Pillar mounts for the silverado. Is there any difference between the offerings that are out there?
i have decided on dipricol pyro and boost guage but now need to decide on which 2 gauge A-pillar i want to mount them in.
Any preference, vendors, pictures of different brands?
thanks

I think theyre all pretty much the same, but definetly do the FULL pillar cover, and if you have the Bose stereo, still get the pillar cover WITHOUT the speaker (tweeter) hole, and cut the tweeter hole yourself. The pre-cut pillar covers dont look very clean IMO...

I read somewhere on this board to go with Autometer. Painted and fit perfectly.

I have the Autometer three with the factory hole and it fit perfect. I almost didnt put pins in it to hold it in place.

I agree that you want to use the full pillar, not the half pillar.
I have the autometer with the tweeter hole. It fits very snug and the tweeter is dead on. I just slipped the bottom part over the tweeter and under the side of the dash. For the top I used 5 minute epoxy and glued it to the original pillar. I'll have to take both out if I need to do something, but that's okay. I chopped it up pretty good anyway to get the wires and air lines up there.
I didn't bother painting it. It looks good being black and you see a line of black anyway from the door seal. So it blends in there. Of course, if you you want it color matched the do what others said.
BTW, I put my dual air pressure gauge, for my air bags, in the top mount. I debated putting it top or bottom, with boost and EGT in a row. I'm glad I put it on the top because when the visor is down it covers the air pressure gauge, but leaves the boost and EGT gauges uncovered. That was just good luck, since I didn't consider that this would be a problem.

metroski,
Be cautious, lots of resellers out there list Auto Meter part numbers but are selling non Auto Meter product. The "OLD" contractor for AM is making products that just aren't as good as the current AM products, and of course they have a lower costs and it's attractive to a resellers to make the extra money etc.
Take a look at what we have 100% AM ONLY! Call us if you have any questions on them or the gauges!
