Howdy,

I have 42,000 miles on my '01, and was just wondering if it would be a good idea to flush the engine and put some fresh coolant in. Am taking a 5,000 mile trip (towing) in two weeks and am trying to cover as many bases as possible. Thanks for your assistance.

DW,

I would recommend you flush your system - can't hurt... The DEXCool is rated for 5Years/100kmiles(?) but I still like to flush & refill every year.

See the Cooling System Filtration (http://dieselplace.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4151&KW=cooling+system+filtration) Topic for a description of how I do the coolant flush (4th post).
