Well, finally got the lift pump off the shelf where it's been sitting waiting for installation for nearly 2 years!:o: Been suffering a rash of start and stalls lately, and temps over 100 degrees for the last three days haven't helped a bit. I was "lucky" not to have any vaporlock issues with my post OEM Kennedy Mega Filter, not until it got 2 years and 50,000 miles on it anyway, then I would get a start and stall that required pumping the primer (no venting) only when I had the "lower" OEM tank selected. I could select the in-bed aux and fire her up, then swap to the OEM with no hassle. Well, a few months ago, after shoulder surgery, I finally got out there and swapped out the Mega cartridge. All was fine for a while, then I started getting the cursed "start and stall" on either tank. It got to be routine for first start of the day and after the truck had sat for more than a couple of hours. Today, it stalled on first start and after a short run to WalMart for a couple of u-bolts. Anyhoo, I got the magnetic pump installed on a Lube Specialist filter mounting plate that tucked it in very nicely above my 6-way valve and just clears the bottom of the bed. Didn't have the time, light or energy to install the wiring harness, just have it running on a fused tap to a switched source for now. I've got to do oil and filter as well as some other stuff next weekend, so I'll go after the cursed 10mm filter head plug and do the wiring harness then. Time for bed!
