If I want to at the max run a Oj/Attitude and a 95hp Power Pup what trans upgrade will I need? Could I suffice with a TTS Converter/Transgo or will I need a Suncoast Stage 2, or what?

The Transgo kit & TTS converter will do a fine job for that application.

From everything I have read, it looks like that as long as you stay under 450-475 hp and 750 lb ft torque (Which it`s the torque that kills the transmission) the Trans-go with new torque converter should be fine.

With that said; I have no personal experiance with after market trannys

I want to run TTS Extreme and Juice Attitude or Quad 215 and cant decide what to run in the tranny. TTS converter with transgo shift kit or jump to the Suncoast triple disc converter and transgo kit. cant decide on the Quad or TTS but definetly what to run the juice attitude. Any advice would be helpful thanks.

I'd suggest sticking with just one big tuner or box as one set of pulse commands can take you as far as the rest of the supporting systems can at this time.

Also keep in mind that the race boxes are typically not the best daily drivers. Some are pretty smooth and tame, but most can be a real handful on wet roads. It is also nice to be able to "neuter" your truck in the event that it is in for service, or someone else is driving it...

So what would you recommend using then for the trans upgrade and tuner and or box. to my knowledge i dont believe the TTS extreme is switchable. It is a program that is present all the time

The TTS extreme is switchable ( 80 hp, 120 hp, Extreme). The programs are docile as far as throttle and will not break loose uncontrollably ( except for some of our members who are animalshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif) I spent some time with the TTS race truck and found it quiet ( no drone) and easy to drive till you hammered it; then it went sidewayshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif. I would never recommend this program in the rain, but the 80 hp (flip the switch on the fly) brings you down to a controlable safe truck.

I recall posts like "Juice almost killed me" when it was still in it's infancy. I think the guy who posted that is still around, but I forgot who.

Daver,

I didn't think they had multi-speed, multi sprocket bikes when you were young!http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif Guess I was wrong.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Wink.gif

If you call 7.6" a little bit, then yes we got a little bithttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif Some places weren`t so lucky though. I live a 1/4 mile from a 4 way stop, and now there is only one way to go. The state has trucks parked side way across the highways due to the flood.

I went out for a couple hours last night to help sand bag, but with a bum left hand, I wasn`t much help.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

Ya, I checked the weather bug and it says that we have had 1.47" total for the month of mayhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif I use a rain gage, and yesterday alone had it run over, and it is good for about 6.5" I was told by Jym Gahnal (I know the spelling is incorrect) with channel 4 out of Columbus that the area where I live had 7.64" and that some areas around here had as much as 13.26" in a 24 hour period ending this morning at 2:15 am.

So much for relying on the weather bughttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

Could the suncoast lvl 3 handle the ever popular 145 Juice/Quad 215 stack without any problems? What is the upper torque limit of the lvl 3 kit.

Also if you get the lvl 3 kit and decide to upgrade to the lvl 5 do you still have to pay the full lvl 5 price (excluding and labor costs of course). I would hate to spend 2200 for lvl 3 then another 4k or whatever the lvl 5 kit runs on top of that. I know you would have the converter already. I guess the question is what is an approx. price to upgrade from 3 to 5?

L3 and L5 are basically the same hard parts........IIRC Mike L. reported that the difference is the extra machining and "TRICK's" that Suncoast does in-house on the L5 build that cannot be duplicated in KIT form.

If you have any questions call Joe Webb.....at SunCoast....

I have spoken with Joe and he can answer any questions you may have.

'Twas my understanding that L3 and 4 were the same, only 4 was exchange transmission.

I started with a 4, then when 5 came out shipped it back and had Joe upgrade to 5 which as I understand is primarily the c1 mods. Still sitting here in the crate because Eric took too long doing my injectorshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif and decided he'd rather play in the mud Sunday then work...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

So, at this point, I plan to pull the ATS trim A spring AGAIN and reinstall the stocker to see if I can get the manners back prior to swapping transmissions and FINALLY evaluating the Suncoast 5...Edited by: Kennedy
