i'm thinking of buying a 94 6.5 turbo diesel with 150000 miles. Is this a reliable engine? also, i'm being told upfront that the front diff pinion seal and left front axial seal are leaking. is this an expensive fix?

Read through the FAQs located at the top of the forum sheet.....

150,000 mi should have some life in it, but expect maintainece on common failure items for milage/age.
Repalceing the pinion seal isn't too hard, never done the other.

I bought my 94 with 280,000. Other than replacing the original pmd I have had no problems. Added mods in my signature and expect it to go at least another 280,000.
