Having used Mobil One for so many years and having spent about 12 years in automotive service, question is...can I justify using Delvac 1 outside of extending the change interval??? I've never owned a diesel before and need constant "schooling" on this. The Delvac 1 is just so expensive. I don't minding spending the extra $ to protect a major expense...is it worth it??? Also the Delvac 1 is 5 weight on the cold side verses 15 for say...1300 Super. Are there any advantages / disadvantages??? I live in Northern Virginia where it can get cold ( zero ) but not for extended periods. Thanks in advance!!!

Joe, Alot of these guys have money to burn, with all the high performance gadgets and stuff. You'll never go wrong spending good money on prevention.

Why not buy you a good by-pass oil filter, run the expensive oil, do an oil analysis and save money by not changing the good oil as often.
