Where is the best place to power my gauges from on a 2004?

I need power that connects to the lights in order to have the gauge lights turn on when the head lights turn on and also need ingition power.

I searched and found this post:

Anyone have other idea's and or pic's of where they tapped power?

Thanks!

I connected the lighting on mine to the brown/white wire listed in the other post. For the ignition power I plugged into the terminal box down by the drivers left foot. There is a four way socket at the top center of the box just to the right of where the trailer brake connector plugs in. The terminal in the upper right hand corner of the 4 way socket is the one that comes on with ignition IIRC. There was another post I saw on this site showing where someone else connected in that terminal box for gauge power but that location does not work on the '04s. HTH

Is yours connected to the lights at all? I'd like the gauge lights to only come on when the head lighjts come on. I can probe around in there and figure it out but info here may be easier :)

The lights in my gauges come on with the other dash lights.
