I've been looking at a new hitch for my truck since I want to buy one of those 11ft slide in camper and will need to run a hitch extension bar. The problem is, I tow heavier than most common folks will while going on vacation. I've got an 2005, crew cab, dually, 4X4 and tow a trailer with a 4500lb rock crawler and most tools and spare parts to fix it if I break it so my trailer and all my junk come close to weighing 9000lbs.

I've been looking at Torklift Superhitch with a weight distribution setup. What do you all recommend or am I on the right track. Any other recommendations or comments would be appreciated.

The 9000 lbs is fine but I think the major concern would be the amount of tongue weight you will have if using the extending bar.

I know exactly what your saying that's why I was looking into the Superhitch. If I was just towing my 20 ft boat, I wouldn't have any concerns with tongue weight and using an hitch extender . Is anyone using theTorklift Superhitch or how are they extending the hitch past the slide in?

I'm not using it but I wished they had it when I bouhgt my Reese. Those things look bullet proof. 2 extensions one supporting the long ext. 2 turnbuckles for lateral strengthing. They cost 2X the Reese Titan but look about 5X's stronger. I thinking of swapping mine out. Read about my troubles in my thread of today. From my experience I would buy the beefier of the two.
