Was running somewhere between 115-130 when engine light came on-there was a ford involved in this scenario-Who got spanked by the way lol...anyway i'm unfamiliar with this code as the only ones i used to get were transmission related...What actually caused this code and is there a fix for it...

I don't know the fix for it, other than it helps if you take the programs & chips off of the truck. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

I have thrown the code a number of times w/my truck (about once every 2 weeks or so). Some times it goes off as I accellerate easily from 20 -50 MPH???? (I dunno why??).

You can either re-set the code, or it will reset itself & the check engine lite will go off in 3 -5 start cycles.

IIRC on the 01 & 02's this code would actually "limp" the engine, it does not do that on my 03& I don't think it limps the 04's. The only time I know that I have thrown this code is when the check engine lite comes on.

Thanks Aggie- I had already reset the code...Just wanted to make sure it was nothing serious. Did'nt lose any power at all -Light just came on... I,m in Cypress Texas if you ever want go ford or dodge hunting..lol....Got me a real nice lease -S.H. 290- Packed with plenty of wild game.hehehehe...Thanks again for the info L8r....
