Upon buying my used Duramax, I brought it to the dealer for a complete checkup and fluid change. I did my first oil change since then on my own today. The filter I removed was black and had no name on it, only this number 8972149834.


Did they the dealer put the wrong filter on? The filter I installed was an AC Delco PF2232. I got this right from the dealer.

The PF2232 is the correct ACD filter for the Dmax.

The black filter is ok. It is used by the factory and the dealers.


The AC Delco PF2232 is also the correct filter purchased by the consumer.
