gtslesly 07-11-2006, 11:53 PM 01 2500hd duramax after cleaning my engine using eng degreaser i hose it off with garden hose the next morning i start fine run a few miles to a freind house after 2 hours try to start it wont start i try every thing and nothing can anybody help me thanks h Got Juice? 07-12-2006, 12:05 AM 1 Check fuel filter and drain water if present. 2 Take compressed air and gently disconnect the FICM harness and blow both the connector and the FICM dry. 3 Unplug the CAN BUS connectors on the top of the engine and blow them out with compressed air. 4 Unplug engine ECM and repeat blowing with compressed air 5 Treat all connectors with a lite coating of dielectric grease. 6 Try starting now 7 If none of this helps you may have shagged an electical component (FICM AND ECM come to mind.)
