My 05 LLY engine has been worked on several times & over a period of time the engine has grease & hand prints & just generally looks nasty. I want to clean it up. Back in the 60's & 70's we used to get 4 or 5 cans of GUNK, heat up the engine & spray it down with GUNK, let it sit for 30 minutes, get a couple of small garbage bags, cover & tape the carberator & distributer, get on it with the pressure washer, then repeat the process.
Since I buy often & usually don't get the lemon of the year, I havent had to do this in a long time.
What can I get wet & NOT get wet? What are some of the things (GUNK) that I can use? Give me your thoughts on how to get this 05 LLY engine clean.
Actually, I think they had a greased pig contest & they ran him under the hood a time or two.
