I have an 06 LBZ with the 6 speed alli. it has alittle over 1k on it now and I have noticed sense new when ever I was to get on it from a stop or slow rolling start it was fine till I let off the throttle and it would growl real loud for a second and then be fine. What is it. Sounds really bad. I would hate to think I got reid of my SBC fixed ZF6 speed to get and bad Alli.

I'm wondering if you're hearing the air induction growl. It will sometime make a noise if you're giving it full throttle during accel and then suddenly let off. It's annoying but doesn't hurt anything.

I can't think of anything transmission related that would give you a growl under those circumstances.

Turbo bark maybe?

I know what you guys are talking about and I'm pretty sure its not that. I'm not going from full throttle to nothing. I mean I could have got on it and then slowly back back off it and level out my speed and then when I let complety off of go pedal even half a mile down the road it does it. Thats what has me at a loss.
