I have used only one brand of cleaner/wax on our hardside trailer since new. It had worked well, but now I can't find the same stuff around here. So what is working well for any of you out there.

No one waxing the gelcoat?

I have waxed my TT once and it took me all day. http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Dead.gif

Now, I'm happy if I wash it once a month. When I waxed it I used the 2001 do all super wax. It's like that Nu-Finish stuff. It's a polymer based sealant that seems to do a pretty good job. It's just too much work when the manufacture said it's not needed.

I would think that any good boat wax would be more that adequate. And if nothing else, it will give you a good workout. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

Yeah I understand the all day/workout, but I do hire my daughter and some neighbor kids to help with the wax off part. I know I'm a bit anal about the waxing of the gelcoat, but it looks better when done and cleans up easier as well. I am the same way with my Zaino and the truck....can't stop. I will probably go with some boat stuff, but would like to use the easiest on/off stuff for obvious reasons. Thanks for the reply.

Camping World has some really good stuff that I have been using for the last 2 years on my gelcoat; I will try to look at the jug tonight if I can remember but I know it's a white jug with a blue label; has left a fantastic finish on the trailer and it is an anti-static formulation, etc., so that alot of the dust and dirt don't cling to it; and since this trailer is at the dirt tracks alot, it sees a lot of dirt and I wash it almost every other week and the shine holds up very well and the decals look better than new.

Come over to my house and do my trailer. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Approve.gif

Hey Sprintmod1! you get to the Fremont track at all? I'm not a big dirt fan, but I'd show up to visit and watch you!. (Yes, I love racing, but I'm a lousy spectator. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif )

Motovet, looked at the gallon jug last night; white jug with blue label called "Protect-All"; have been using it for a few years very successfully on the gel-coat.

Motovet, Not sure if there are any boat stores in your area of South Bend, but you can go to any one like that and find wax for gelcoat. There are many different kinds out there and you just need to find the one that works best for your needs.
