I have owned my DuraMax 6.6 for almost 2 years and it has been almost defect free. I have had only 2 issues.
1. While driving with someone in Rear Passenger side seat, there is a pronounced Resonance vibration which is quite loud during deceleration. It sounds like a loose muffler bracket, but I have had it into a dealer 2-3 times and they cannot find any thing wrong.

2. On 2 occassions I have left my truck parked for 2 weeks and come home to dead batteries. They charge back up and work fine as long as driven daily. Batteries are new ( within last 6-9 months) and water level fine. It did it again this week.

Anyone with tips on either if these issues please respond.

I have also heard of overheating issues, but have not experienced it yet. Is this something I have to get fixed before I retire and start 5th wheeling??

Thanks

Well, for one, we need to know a bit more about what year your truck is and any mods you have. I'm thinking you've got an 04 with an LLY.

Two, PM one of the mods and ask them to move this thread to the appropriate forum. You aren't going to get much response here in Testing, except by oddballs like me.

Lastly, your issues have been talked about before. Search in the Exhaust section for your resonence issue, and in Electrical for your battery issue.

As for overheating, thats a huge topic in the LLY engine threads. If you have not overheated in 2 years towing a 5er, I don't think you'd have any problems suddenly "pop-up".
