I am torn as to which direction I want to go. I bought the truck used and it has a rancho 2inch lift (torsion keys, rear blocks, new shocks) with 33x12.5x18, lets just say the truck rides like crap.
I am undecided, should I go with a 6" lift or going back to stock.
Any thoughts or input.
TIA,
Chris

No regrets. It was a little squirrly in the back so I addded a sway-bar. It is a little bouncy unloaded on some stretches of highway but overall very impressed with the ride of this 3/4 ton truck.

Pulling 6000 pounds across Oklahoma interstates makes me regret the lift, but the rest of the time, the lift is awesome! Rides better than stock in my opinion, plus it looks meaner than hell! Get loads of comments.

what kind of lift do you have Reineke? A good friend of mine had a 2003 f250 with a 6"lift and I remnber that thing rode like ****.

I have the Tuff Country 6" with their brand name shocks. I believe the thicker side wall on the 315 contribute to the smoother ride the most.

I just got my truck lifted last weekend and it rides great. I went with the 4" Rancho, 35 x 12.50 - 18 TOYO MT's and 18 x 9 Diamo wheels. Take a look into my garage to see before and after pics. This lift will push the front tires out slightly 1" - 1.1/2" but too bad.

My truck is barely under 7' (from the top of the satellite antenna) which is the size of the parking garage at work. Not all have this size, some have more, some have less. Never really found an automatic car wash that would fit my truck when stock without worry of damage. Truck fits fine in manual car washes, but it gets hand washed anyway.:grd:

The other day I was in a parking garage at the airport (Providence, RI) and my stock antenna kept wacking the support beams in the garage. Another inch or two up and i wouldda taken off my roof and converted my truck to a covertable.

I have to add however, Bodysurfer your truck looks SICK! Along with the rest of the lifted guys.

I don't want to hijack the thread but all of you lifted guys should look into this. It makes a difference in the body roll when you get the pig up in the air.
I used a Hellwig bar. The instructions call for it to be mounted under the axle but with the lift that wouldn't work. I installed it over so I saved not having to buy their adaptor. I had to bend the brake line a bit but was just careful not to pinch it. It was pretty easy to install.
Nice trucks!
