For 1/8-27, the "R" drill makes it a little easier to tap the hole and is called out on all charts I have seen. "R" is .339" 5/16 is .3125" Not really a big dif and either should work fine though. I think the larger diameter of the "R" would have been the ticket. maxinDixon 10-09-2003, 10:19 PM I first drilled to 5/16 but found it too hard to start the tap so went with the R and then it was easy. smshiver 11-29-2003, 02:39 AM I thought this might be a good place to ask the following question. I have a short Isspro probe installed per the directions above. The shop that tapped it for me did it on a slight downward angle, which put the probe at an angle that made it a little on the long side to fit properly. I ended up installing a coupler to extend the fitting out a half inch so the probe would fit. Are the following temps normal at 50 degrees ambient temperature? Idle in driveway: 270-280 Coasting down hill: 125-150 Hard acceleration up hill: 900 All these are plus or minus. Just want to see if the extra coupler is dragging the temp at the sensor down somewhat. Thanks. hoot 11-29-2003, 10:16 AM With no mods that doen't look bad. Thanks for the details, having it sure put my mind at ease when messin with this big dollar truck. The fear of the unkown flees when armed with great stuff like this!!
