Hello all. I've had my new 06 DMax/Allison for a month. Love it so much my wife and I do rock, paper, scissors to see who gets to drive....then I drive. I am running 285 BFGs on 20s. The guessilator says I am getting 12.4mpg. I recalculate it for the 285s to about 14.5. It's got 12K miles on it. The prior owner dumped a bunch of cash into it (Bling).
1. Is there a way to check the map it's running ie; stock or not? I haven't bought the chip yet but will. I am thinking the original owner changed the map for performance. It should be getting better, yeah?
2. I have an aftermarket 4" exhaust. Why is the downtube only 3". Is the stock downtube 3" into the stock 3" exhaust? Does the 4" downtube help if you are only puching exhaust thru 3" of downtube?
3. Whose idea was it to make the fuel cell so small?

:welcome2: Sorry I can't answer on the programmer; you may have a problem if he left a program setting in it; it needs to be stock for you to use another programmer, and when you take it in for warranty work. I have a bunch of posts of good fuel mileage if you left click on my login, and view my posts on the subject.

Thanks for the help. It would really suck if the map was changed already. Love the power I'm getting out if it. All in all I traded a Navigator that got 11mpg. The Ohio Public School system taught me that 14.5 is clearly more that 11.
