I am an electronic hick when it comes to these new vehicles.
This weekends project is to install a set of factory GM fog lamps. I have gone over the instructions and the last section is ( Programming the Body Control (TBC) Module).
1)The TBC must be programmed to recognize the installed for lamps.
2)Use the Service Programming System (SPS) to program the (TBC) as you would any other control module: Body Control Module,(BCM). Power Control Module (PCM), etc. When programming the (TBC), select the calibration for vehicles with for lamps. ( Is there enough achronyms in there or what I started laughing. )http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/HiHi.gif
3)Connect the service tool to the Data Link Controller (DLC).
4) Program the (TBC) to interface with the fog lamps.
My question is can this only be done at the stealer and what do you think the est $cost will be, if so.
Thx
