Hello all,

Got the Predator in on Fri, loaded it up with no issues. Set it on the 85hp tune which is were its gonna stay. All I can say is SMOOTH POWER!

I have 265/75/16 Goodyear MTR's, and I didnt even try , and it broke the tires loose on a merge into traffic:eek:

No shift problems, in fact I'm suprised how well its shifts.

I think the 120hp tune will be awesome too, but I think I'll be pushing the tranny too much if I install it. 85hp is where its gonna stay.:ro)

I just installed the same program on my truck. Definetly, stronger, and much better fuel efficiency.

I am very tempted to install the 120, but I know if I do I will keep it there until something breaks.

By any chance have you checked your speedo with a GPS to see if the 265 setting is accurate? I have 285's and when I set it for "width"-285, "aspect"-75, "rim size"-16, my speedo was showing about 4 mph too fast according to a sheriffs dept highway display. I checked it with my GPS and in fact it was off 4 mph. I adjusted the "width" down to 260 and now it is perfect with the GPS. I also tried it by "tire Height"--32 inches, man, was that off! I showed 40 mph and was doing 70! I am wondering if I did something stupid.

Any thoughts?

Do the LBZ Predators ask for BOTH stock size then real size questions? The LB7 does and noticed that right out of the box, the stock size was pre-set to rim 17".

What I'm getting at is on the LB7 model, I believe it takes both input sizes and used that info to re-cal the speedo.

Dont know how the LBZ model ask for tire size(s).

No it just gives you a slide bar to enter the size. It never asks what your tire size is. It must assume the stock tire until you modify it.

But I will change it soon.

120hp is tempting to me also, but I dont want to risk it. 85hp is what I was looking for. Dont need a 13 second dually, I already have a 10 sec supercharged Z06 that is at its threshold..no need to mess with the daily driver

Thanks

Damn i cant wait for monday to order!

Hows the soot on 85hp?

If you run on 120hp then go back to 85 your truck will feel slow,, then it will go back to 120hp and stay! lol

Had the same problem setting tire size to 31.5". Set off the ABS & brake lights it was so far off. Set it to 265 75 16 and it's right on with my GPS. Speedo was about 3% slow from the factory.

Well I am glad to hear that, cause I thought I might have done something wrong.
Anyway, my speedo is dead on with my GPS but the Diablo thinks I have 260 75R 16 sizes tires. Go figure. I guess in Diablo world tires sizes are different. There must be an explanation for that, but it is way above me.

It was so easy to install. And the power difference is truly exciting.

I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas for the cat back exhaust to arrive.

The thought does occur to me that if better fuel efficiency/more power is attainable by a mere tuner, than why doesn't the manufacturer maximize the engine from the get-go??

My guess is that a diesel at max efficiency wont meet emissions requirements.

that and it will put extra stress on the drivetrain/transmission...im sure theyd have more broken parts and fried transmissions

The soot is not much more noticeable, if any at all.

I can't allow myself to push it to 120hp for the same reason! I did adjust the max speed limiter from 95.08 to 120.08. I didn't want to think if someone needed running down, he could get away from me on a scooter.

WARNING...dont try the 120 tune. You need extreme self control to go back to 85. To me, the difference in going from 85 to 120 feels like the difference going from stock to 85.
