I am finally going on the big trip out west within about a month. That trip will be about 6000 miles. I am going to change the oil and fluids before the trip and will be taking extra oil and fluids along just in case I need to top any fluids off on the trip. Any ideas on anything else I need to take with me on my long trip other than lots of money?

Since you have a 06, your tires should be good but inspect them anyway.
You may want to also take a extra fuel filter and strap wrench with you in case you get some bad fuel.

Take along a tire gauge to check pressures and always carry a fire extinguisher, gloves, minmal tools and TP.

Here are some pics of things that might come in handy all obtainable through Vendors who support this forum... spare fuel filter, water-in-sensor wrench (may not be necessary, but will definitely make it easier...it's the blue thing) and fuel filter wrench. One other thing, that fuel filter wrench looks like a million other oil filter wrenches you have seen, but trust me you won't find the correct size for the DuraMax FUEL filter anywhere local....I Looked.
