im lookin to get a Power programmer i want somthing that make my truck smoke is there any thing out there i have a 04 crew cab short bed 4x4 truck. i talked to a guy around me he had a Edge programmer i think that was the name it was sweet. and dose the Power programmer void the Factory warranty?

A programmer flashes the ECM.............Quad Tuner, Bullydog Tuner, Predator Tuner........


A Edge Box or VA Box is a Plug in.........


Several vendors will custom write a program specific to your truck and needs........TTS is a vendor here and there are 1 or 2 others if you search.


It only voids the warranty if you goto the dealer with it on the truck and get caught by a dealer that does not like Modifications, many dealers are OK with it, I for one do not offer any info when I go in for service............I drive it in stock for warranty work.

My hot juice/attitude smokes pretty good. The biggest problem is that most boxes that smoke also make too much power for the tranny. So count on spending some money on your tranny too if you make it smoke too much. http://dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif


As far as voiding warranty, that depends on the dealer. Most would not take the chance and they remove their power programmer before taking it to a dealer. Better safe then sorry. Most power adders can be remove in seconds with no tools.

Big smoke is also reduced power in many cases...

ok so if i get a Edge programmer and not the box that gos in the truck it will smoke and want hurt my trann ? or will the trann give out? and the warranty thing cant they huck a computer and tell that there was a progermer hucked up to it? lol im new to this need so info thanks

The edge is not a programmer, it is a box that hooks up under the hood. You would be fine with a 90hp edge box. If you want a Programmer I would get a Quad 110 or a Predator. Both around $400.

I am beginning to look at programmers and boxes for increased power also. Who makes the Quad 110 and Predator? I have been looking at the Banks 6 Gun Bundle (bundle of cash) but am not familiar with the Quad or Predator.

Quadzilla makes the 110, I have it on my truck, makes nice power.
