I have a bully dog 4" exhaust system, I was wondering what was the best way to get rid of the exhaust drone in the cab. around 1800-2000 rpms it's horrible you can't hardley talk to the people in the back seat, I have ridden in straight piped trucks and they are much quiter than mine. I was thinking about welding all the joints I see there is some blow by, and also thinking about a different muffler?? I was wondering what the most cost effective solution to my problem is. Thanks,
Jon

Is the in and out marked on the muffler ?? Just thought If there was and IF possibly was installed in reverse some additional drone type noise may be omitted ...
If that isn't it a different muffler would make a difference I'm sure ...

Yeah Mac it's on the right way, and I have tried it backwards and well it doesn't make any real difference in my oppion. I wish it were that easy. Thanks

Would straight piping a 4" system a bad idea, I have contacted bully dog and I guess they have a resonator that you can put in before the muffler but it's like 95 bucks and I can find a piece of pipe much cheaper than that for a straight shot. I know it would be quiter than what I have now I am just wondering about towing, I know it'll be loud out outside I just can't stand hours of the droning in the cab. I know some people really like the straight pipes some don't, just wondering about a 4" is all. Thanks

I would just look for a alternative muffler .... Just take dimensions and call around ...
